Advances in technology are moving so fast, and the Voluntary Sector risks being left behind. 75% of fundraisers now use AI when writing bids and generating campaign materials, with digital tools transforming how events are both delivered and engage diverse groups.

The mere novelty of using new digital platforms has created great excitement over the last few years. Harnessing community assets in the form of people with digital skills and talent can engage new energy in your work and offer upward mentoring to the wider team.

This will be an interactive workshop led by someone who is not tech savvy but determined to help others make better use of the tools out there. It will explore the potential and set out the pitfalls too. Balance is everything ... afterall, you do not want your Miro to run away with your Audioboom.

By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:

  1. Identify practical ways you can better use digital tools and technology to achieve your mission
  2. Explore a range of online tools, apps and devices that can improve efficiency, extend engagement and simply communication
  3. Amplify the voice of your community and demonstrate the impact of your organisation using digital tools
  4. Enable more diverse routes to engagement and collaboration by using creative online tools – many free to use
  5. Try some of the online survey tools and evaluate their ‘fit’
  6. See how audience vies can be shared in real time during the workshop
  7. Learn from the experiences of an enthusiastic tech user to avoid some of the challenges that can and do present
