I have been the Chief Executive of the Central Eltham Youth Project (CEYP) since 2005. CEYP provides borough-wide services to children, young people, and their families, including a busy, non-voucher foodbank. Prior to this, I worked for the youth homelessness charity Centrepoint in various different roles and also as a debt and housing caseworker at Citizens Advice. My previous voluntary experience includes serving as a trustee of three charities and as an assessor on a grassroots grants panel. Currently I am a Voluntary Board Member of both Mottingham Big Local Refocused and Community Connections.
I am passionate about helping to further develop the Voluntary, Community, and Faith Sector in the Royal Borough Greenwich. This is more pressing now as the cost-of-living crisis is creating an unprecedented increase in demand whilst, at the same time, multi-year funding is getting more difficult to secure. I believe I am well placed to understand the challenges and opportunities which groups and organisations in the borough face.
